BTRI_IR fault indicators are typically installed on overhead taps, near underground transitions, at overhead midfeeder disconnects, and near unfused taps or riser poles. The BTRI_IR is immediately operational upon installation and requires no line energy to respond to an overcurrent event. The BTRI_IR's 1ms response time and true timed reset flash clearing make it especially useful for locating temporary faults. Trip values are factory-set to your specification. Specify an LED flash clearing time that best coordinates with line-crew response times.
The BTRI_IR's replaceable battery provides 1200 typical flash hours. A non-replaceable battery version is available which requires no maintenance and provides 3000 typical flash hours. Manually test activate or clear a flashing LED using the CRSRTT tool (sold separately). Single hot stick installation and a superbright LED display make the BTRI_IR a smart choice.
