Voltage Sensors (VSs) are available for Wye- and Delta-configured systems, allowing you to match your system configuration. SEL custom builds each Voltage Sensor as a complete custom solution for your application.
Voltage Sensors monitor primary system voltage on main and alternate sources in pad-mounted automatic transfer schemes and control contact status. The VS is installed on the test point of a separable connector and indicates the presence of system voltage by an electrically isolated contact.
A three-phase voltage sensor's contact latches closed when system voltage on all three phases is above 90 percent, and opens when system voltage on any phase drops below 75 percent (a Delta-configured sensor requires drop in two or more phases for the sensor latch to open).
SEL Voltage Sensors are built tough for dependable operation in harsh environments and are economical in eliminating the need for potential transformers or analog sensors. Together, we can build a custom solution for your application needs.
- Three-phase voltage sensors detect primary system voltage on main and alternate sources in pad-mounted automatic transfer schemes.
- Voltage sensors detect voltage via the test point of the separable connector component. The presence of system voltage is indicated by an electrically isolated contact.
- Schweitzer Engineering LAboratories makes and calibrates each voltage sensor as a complete custom solution for each application.
- Sensor circuitry monitors primary system voltage and controls contact status.
- Wye and ungrounded Delta models allow you to match your system configuration.
- Contacts latch closed when system voltage on three phases is above 90 percent. Contacts latch open when system voltage on any phase drops below 75 percent. Delta units require voltage drop in two or more phases.
