The SEL-2701 Ethernet Processor interfaces with fiber and copper Ethernet networks and includes support for Telnet, FTP, DNP3 LAN/WAN, IEC 61850/UCA2, and the OSI, TCP, and UDP stacks. - Automatic Database

SEL-2032 Firmware Version R110 Announcement
SEL is pleased to announce the availability of a new release of firmware for the SEL-2032 Communications Processor (Version R110). This new firmware added the following features:
- Enhanced Direct Transparent functionality to allow acSELerator® QuickSet® SEL-5030 Software connections via the front port or SEL-2701 Ethernet Processor to a downstream-connected relay.
- Allowed SET M equations to continue to execute during an active Direct Transparent connection on the port.
- Fixed issue where Null characters may be dropped during Transparent connections.
- Auto-disabled Xon/Xoff handshaking during SEL-5020 YMODEM file transfers.
- Improved storage capacity for relay configuration information.
- Corrected power miscalculation for older connected relays.
- Use plug-in cards in the SEL-2032 to connect IEDs to Ethernet or Modbus Plus networks.
- Eliminate or reduce the need for SCADA RTUs.
- Simplify, improve the reliability, and reduce the total cost of SCADA systems by using the SEL-2032 to collect and scale meter data, and also to collect targets, contact input status, and fault location directly from relays. Use the contact outputs of relays and other IEDs for control. Directly support Modbus RTU Slave and DNP3 Level 2 protocols for links to RTUs or masters.
- Connect IEDs that do not support Modbus to a distributed control system (DCS).
- Support local HMI on a PC or industrial computer using the SEL-2032 as a communications hub for gathering data from and directing control commands to IEDs in the substation. Local event report collection, settings management, and data archiving may also be included in the local HMI.
- Acquire and forward information from relays and specialized equipment monitoring devices to maintenance databases and expert systems.
- Sixteen additional inputs and four outputs.
- The SEL-2701 Ethernet Processor interfaces with fiber and copper Ethernet networks and includes support for Telnet, FTP, DNP3 LAN/WAN, IEC 61850 GSSE, and UCA2 MMS Server compatible with most IEC 61850
