SEL-3022 Wireless Encrypting Transceiver - Avoid exposing personnel to hazardous conditions by enabling them to control and monitor equipment from their trucks or other safe locations.
The transceiver transmits data up to 115,200 bits per second to distances of 300 meters (1,000 feet) in typical applications with a clear line-of-sight communications path. For even greater distances use directional gain antennas.

- Communicate securely with 128-bit Advanced Encryption Standard (AES), 128-bit Wired Equivalent Privacy (WEP), and HMAC SHA-1 Authentication.
Apply Easily With Low Impact and Cost
- Use the 802.11b wireless interface in your laptop or handheld PC.
- Install SEL software to add an encrypted serial port without changing the applications or communications programs.
- Connect the SEL-3022 Wireless Encrypting Transceiver to an EIA-232 port on the equipment, with no change in the device firmware or software.

Secure Communications With an SEL-651R Advanced Recloser Control
Connect the SEL-3022 serial port to a recloser control, substation communications processor, PLC, telemetry unit, or other device. Communicate using the wireless network interface card in your laptop or handheld computer, standard serial communications software, and SEL-5810 Virtual Serial Software.
