SEL-3306 Synchrophasor Processor
Use the SEL-3306 Synchrophasor Processor as the heart of an integrated data collection and distribution system.Provide synchrophasor data concentration, protocol conversion, and media conversion in a rugged, stationhardeneddevice. The SEL-3306 gives you the capability to use IEEE 37.118, IEEE 1344, and SEL FastMessage protocols to collect synchrophasor data from a range of phasor measurement units. Make the bestuse of system resources by using both serial and Ethernet channels to communicate data to the SEL-3306.
Concentrate synchrophasor measurements from up to 40 phasor measurement units (PMUs).
Send selected measurements to as many as six different users.
Receive synchrophasor data in multiple formats, including IEEE C37.118, IEEE 1344, and SEL Fast Messages.
Transmit data to viewing and archiving applications using IEEE C37.118 or BPA data formats.
Connect to both serial and Ethernet communications paths for optimum use of existing channels.
Apply in either central control rooms or harsh substation environments. Rugged construction, built to relay standards, provides reliability for any installation.
Use as a central data concentrator with connections to multiple PMUs over serial and Ethernet channels.
Connect multiple SEL-3306 Synchrophasor Processors to make optimum use of communications channels. Each SEL-3306 can send concentrated data to six clients, including other data concentrators. Data can also be sent to and received from computers running SEL-5077 SYNCHROWAVE™ Server Software.
Convert protocols, including SEL Fast Messages and older PMUs using IEEE 1344 format, into IEEE C37.118 protocol for use by display and archiving software.
