The SEL-3332 Intelligent Server is a dedicated data concentrator and protocol converter. Built on the same rugged computer platform as the SEL-1102, it is built to withstand harsh environments in utility substations, and industrial control and automation. This information processor has an easy to use graphical user interface with drag-and-drop IED configuration and advanced features to automatically configure IEDs. And all backed by SEL’s no-hassle, worldwide, ten-year product warranty.

  • Simple Setup
Bundled with an intuitive graphical configuration tool, and drag-and-drop functionality. This advanced utility enables a user to automatically configure IEDs and efficiently map and translate data.

  • Powerful Computing Platform
Built on the proven SEL computing platform, utilizing a 1.1 GHz Pentium® M processor and up to 1 GB system RAM. Collect and archive/forward meter reports, targets, digital input status, event reports, demand meter reports, and more, offering up to 16 GB flash memory for nonvolatile storage.

  • Reliable Substation Operation—Meets IEEE C37.90 and IEC 60255 Protective Relay Standards
Designed and tested for harsh substation environments to meet industry standards for vibration, electrical surges, fast transients, and extreme temperatures between –40° to +75°C.

  • No Fans, No Moving Parts, Ten-Year Warranty
Improve reliability with the SEL-3332, using a 4,000-year Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF) power supply and eliminating fans, rotating storage drives, and vent holes. An independent diagnostics watchdog processor improves system availability by detecting and alarming for problems and system interruptions.

  • Wide Protocol Conversion Capability
Communicate with SEL and other popular protocols including IEC 61850; map to OPC client/server and flexibly specify any protocol on any port.

  • Auto-Configuring Master for SEL Relays
SEL Master protocol provides auto-configuration of supported SEL relays. Performs Fast Message, Fast Meter, Fast Operate, and Flex parsing with SEL relays and communications processors.

  • Flexible Communications
Support serial and network IP-based communications over multiple protocols, using any combination of serial and Ethernet ports. Utilize the optional Port Server module to easily map physical serial ports to your substation network. Additionally, the SEL-3332 provides four USB ports to expand functionality and versatility, and IRIG-B collection and distribution for accurate time synchronization.

  • Cybersecurity Management
Encrypt Ethernet-based engineering access and SCADA protocols with SSL/TLS. Protect link access using IPsec security. Manage access with separate user accounts while maintaining NERC password-complexity requirements.

  • Use the SEL-3332 with your protective relays and other IEDs as the substation SCADA data concentrator. Optionally, configure the SEL-3332 to collect and view station-wide SER and event reports from SEL and other IEDs.

  • Concentrate IEC 61850 data, convert protocols to OPC or other choice of SCADA protocols, and send controls from SCADA to IEC 61850 IEDs.

  • Use the wide variety of standard master and slave protocols to collect data from existing IEDs for use in HMI, historian, and SCADA applications.

  • Secure your automation network using the SEL-3332 and SEL accessories.

  • Use the Intelligent Server as part of a local monitoring system. With SEL remote I/O modules and alarm panels, your substation control system can provide quick indication of status and alarms.

  • Utilize Port Server to perform engineering access to remote IEDs.

  • Simplify and improve the reliability of communication, and reduce the total cost of a SCADA system by using the SEL-3332 to collect meter data, targets, contact input status, and fault location directly from IEDs.

  • Use the optional calculator module to perform Boolean, arithmetic, and conditional control equations to generate information and perform control. Reduce overall system cost and improve system reliability by decreasing the number of auxiliary devices.

  • Retrieve and forward data from relays and other IEDs to higher-level systems.

  • Obtain and store event records locally and remotely.

  • 1 (standard), 8, or 16 EIA-232 serial ports (16 total)

  • Choice of protocols, logic processing, and enterprise application modules from SUBNET Solutions, Inc.'s SubstationSERVER.NET software

  • Up to 1 GB system RAM and up to 16 GB flash memory for nonvolatile data archiving
