SEL-651R Advanced Recloser Control
The SEL-651R is an enhanced, high-quality control that provides advanced features to new and retrofit recloser applications. Six voltage inputs provide source- and load-side voltage sensing, ensuring safe and secure alternate source logic. Reduce system and customer impacts due to faults by using the single-phase trip capability. Improve feeder loading by using high-accuracy metering functions and harmonic control.
Easily power accessories with 40 W, 12 Vdc auxiliary power supply for applications requiring additional power, such as radios. Enable fast communications-assisted trip logic and communications functions through the SEL-patented Mirrored Bits® communications technology that provides bidirectional relay-to-relay digital communications. The SEL-651R is certified to IEEE C37.60 standards and is a plug-compatible replacement for 14-pin reclosers.

Plug-compatible replacement for most Kyle®/Cooper FXA, FXB, Form 3, 3A, 4, 4A, 4C, 5 and 6 recloser controls. Programmable four-shot auto-reclosing function with synchronism and voltage check logic to match a variety of reclosing practices and sequence coordination logic to coordinate with downstream reclosers. - Six Voltage Inputs

- Combine SEL fault indicators with recloser controls to pinpoint the exact location of a fault, even on lateral feeds, something neither product can do on its own. When a fault occurs, the SEL recloser control reports the distance from the recloser to the fault, however, for lines with branches, the recloser control cannot determine on which branch of the line the fault has occurred. By following the line along the tripped fault indicators the line crew can easily find the area of the fault.
