- Use the SEL-9192 to provide remote dial-up communications to field equipment such as the SEL-3530 Real-Time Automation Controller (RTAC), protective relays, and other IEDs. Add the SEL-3025 Serial Shield™ to encrypt dial-up communications.
- Take advantage of existing phone lines by using the SEL-9192 as a backup dial-out communications path for SCADA communications.
- Replace existing off-the-shelf, wall-powered modems with a reliable utility-grade SEL-9192 modem. At <1 watt of power consumption, the SEL-9192 is built and tested to provide a low-power, dial-up solution in substations, plants, remote facilities, or anywhere strict utility specifications, such as extreme temperature, vibration, and electrical noise exist. You can also order the modem with conformal coating to protect against corrosive environments.
- Install the SEL USB driver for configuration with a standard USB-B cable.
- Use the 230-600 wall-mounted power supply for 120/230 Vac operation.
- Use the SEL-9321 Low-Voltage DC Power Supply with the 240-1552 cable (order option SEL-9321_1X) for station dc battery operation.
