SEL is Setting the Standard for Testing

The SEL EMC, Environmental, and Mechanical Design Verification Test Facility, achieved accreditation from TÜV Rheinland of North America on May 12, 2004. TÜV Rheinland of North America is an internationally recognized product certification authority with over 140 years of product testing and certification experience.
Two representatives of TÜV Rheinland of North America examined SEL practices, equipment, personnel training, and records in April 2004. They certified that the tests performed in the SEL test facility are technically correct and satisfy the appropriate standards. All SEL EMC, environmental, and mechanical test work instructions were also approved. The test processes accepted by TÜV range from environmental tests (cold, dry heat, and humid heat) to mechanical tests (vibration, shock, and bump).
This accreditation provides independent evidence of SEL commitment to our quality system, including robust processes that generate repeatable results; an ongoing investment in expert-level staff training; impeccable record keeping; and readily available, archived test result data.
