In 1985, SEL built its first building and employed 11 people. Today, SEL employs more than 1100 people worldwide. The company owns 130 acres on the north edge of Pullman, Washington and 9 buildings at that site spanning nearly 300,000 square feet. Two additional buildings are under construction in Pullman and will be complete by October 2006.
SEL products are made here in our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility. Research and development, customer service, SEL University, government services, marketing, and business administration divisions also reside at our headquarters.
SEL Worldwide
SEL microprocessor-based products protect, monitor, control, automate, and meter electric power
systems in more than 110 countries. We keep technical support close to our customers with 32
Technical Service Centers across the United States and 22 international Technical Service
Centers in 14 countries.
SEL has an ever-growing number of application engineers worldwide,
skilled in all necessary technical disciplines, local knowledge of electric power systems, and
various language skills.
