Phase Distance Ground Overcurrent
Description:
Phase distance relay, ground directional overcurrent relay, reclosing relay, special directional-comparison blocking logic, fault locator.
Application:
The SEL-221G Relay provides three zones of time-step protection with separate timers for phase and ground faults in each zone. It offers three residual definite-time overcurrent zones and negative- and zero-sequence ground directional elements. Also included are out-of-step blocking, reversible Zone 3 elements, a three-shot reclosing relay, programmable output contacts, and a large range of settings for the mho distance elements. Applications include stand-alone time-stepped phase distance/ground overcurrent schemes and permissive over/underreaching transfer tripping schemes with special configurations for directional-comparison blocking schemes.
