Easily Test MIRRORED BITS Communications Using Pushbuttons and Monitoring LEDs.

SEL-2505PB MIRRORED BITS Interface

  • Save Test Setup Time
    DIP switches are provided for easy configuration. Safely apply ac power with socketed line cord. EIA-232 port connects to MIRRORED BITS communications channel. No external power is needed for dry-contact trigger input.
  • Easily Monitor Received Data
    Monitor the Received MIRRORED BITS (RMB) points with 8 LEDs. Contact outputs follow the state of the RMB points. The received signal condition (ROK) is indicated with an LED.
  • Manually Send Test Data
    Use eight pushbuttons to set the state for the Transmit MIRRORED BITS (TMB) points and illuminate the corresponding LEDs.
  • Trigger Data Transmission Tests
    Support automated tests using a dry-contact input to trigger a change of state of the TMB points. A second column of SEL-2505PB pushbuttons pre-programs the new state.

 

  • C234A Cable
    Connect the SEL-2505PB to the EIA-232 port of any SEL relay with MIRRORED BITS communications.
  • Fiber-Optic Transceivers
    Select SEL Fiber-Optic Transceivers compatible with an SEL-2505 or SEL-2506, or transceivers on other SEL devices:

 

Test automation, control, and protection systems that use MIRRORED BITS communications. Indicators and contact outputs reflect the state of received MIRRORED BITS points. Easily test with latching pushbuttons and an external contact for triggering state changes.
