Application:
The SEL-251C Relay is intended for protection of distribution bus breakers and backup protection of feeders protected with SEL-251 Relays. It includes many of the same features and advantages as in the SEL-251 Relay. Phase overcurrent elements may be torque controlled from both internal phase distance elements and undervoltage elements. SELOGIC Control Equations, in conjunction with the SEL-251 Relay, can provide clearing times for bus faults that are close to those available with bus differential schemes.
