Use the SEL-351R for simple recloser control upgrades with advanced directional overcurrent and frequency elements, and communications-assisted protection schemes.

Plug-In Recloser Control Compatibility
Plug-compatible replacement for Kyle®/Cooper Form 3, 3A, 4, 4A, 4C, 5, 6, FXA, and FXB recloser controls, including "EZ" recloser control settings for rapid installation. Programmable four-shot autoreclosing function with optional synchronism and voltage check logic to match a variety of reclosing practices. Sequence coordination logic to coordinate with downstream reclosers.
ACSELERATOR^® QuickSet™ SEL-5030 Software
Helps speed recloser control application settings by allowing you to develop settings off-line, program SELOGIC^® control equations, and analyze post-fault event reports.
Relay and Recloser Compatible Time-Overcurrent Protection
U.S. (IEEE) and IEC relay curves, user-programmable curves, and all traditional recloser curves included for maximum recloser control flexibility and coordination. Constant time adder, vertical multiplier, and minimum response time functions for additional flexibility. Optionally, use the SEL-5804 curve designer software to create custom curves for the SEL-351R.
Large Display and Operator Controls
Large front-panel display and programmable operator control interface pushbuttons for easy recloser control. Control interface pushbuttons include "Lock" function to prevent inadvertent operation. Pushbuttons are preprogrammed and labeled with popular recloser control switch functions, but can be reprogrammed and relabeled to meet your unique application requirements.
Advanced 24 Vdc Battery Charging and Monitoring System
120 Vac-powered battery charging system monitors and tests the 24 Vdc battery. Automatic sleep and local/remote wakeup function. 12 Vdc available for powering modems and radio communications equipment (6 W continuous, 13 W for 1 second).
Extra Cabinet Space
Additional space inside recloser control enclosure is available to add communications equipment such as a cellular modem and point-to-point radio to integrate the recloser control into your distribution automation system.
Per-Phase Operations Counter
Now you can monitor breaker or recloser contact wear for each individual phase for efficient maintenance planning and troubleshooting.

Control and Low-Voltage Close Cables
SEL manufactures and sells control and low-voltage close cables for connecting SEL-351R Recloser Controls to Cooper reclosers in new or retrofit installations. Both the control and low-voltage close cables are available in a 10-foot standard length. Custom-order cables are available on a per-foot basis up to 100 feet.

- Low-Voltage Close Cable - C515 (for use with the low-voltage close socket, 9250014, which provides an exterior receptacle on the SEL-351R enclosure that mates with C515)
- Low-Voltage Close Cable - C516 (connects directly to the terminal block inside the SEL-351R enclosure)
