SEL-5020 Version 3.01 Announcement

SEL is pleased to announce enhancements to the SEL-5020 Settings Assistant, including a new option that supports Ethernet communications and the SEL-2701 Ethernet Controller.

SEL recently announced the availability of Ethernet communications options for the SEL-2030 Communications Processor and SEL-421 Relay, using the new SEL-2701 Ethernet Processor. A new ordering option for the SEL-5020 provides features to aid your setting and application of the SEL-2701 Ethernet Processor. When you order the SEL-5020 with the Ethernet option, the new features include the following:

• Create, edit, upload, and download SEL-2701 settings
• Use your PC Ethernet card to communicate and transfer settings over the Ethernet

In addition to the new Ethernet Option, the new standard SEL-5020 Software includes the following enhancements:

• Detects COM1-COM32 availability and allows you to use available ports
• Allow data rate of 38,400 bps for serial ports
• Improved SET M syntax checking
• Change port references on copy from one port to another
• Overwrite existing settings on relays that require a unique identifier
