SEL-5802

Motor Modeling Program

Model thermal behavior of induction
motors with simple to use software.
SEL-5802 Motor Modeling Program

Key Features

  • Use to analyze relay motor protection applications.
  • Uses easy-to-access motor nameplate information for model.
  • Uses simple-to-follow prompts for required data input.
  • Plots current, voltage, torque, slip, and rotor resistance versus motor speed.
  • Plots log-log curves of time versus per-unit current for motor characteristics.
  • Allows multiple analyses per session.
  • Writes ASCII files for convenient use of captured data.

Motor Protection
To protect, control and monitor motors, use the SEL-701 Motor Protection Relay or the SEL-501 Dual Universal Overcurrent Relay.
