"When I came to work for Platte River Power Authority, my experience programming transmission and substation relays was limited to classroom exercises. To help me out with a very busy schedule, we asked SEL to program all relays for two new substations and opposite line terminals, and two new transmission lines and their terminals. SEL not only completed the task in a timely manner, but they also enhanced our existing SEL-311B, SEL-311C, and SEL-311L classes of relays. Afterward, SEL was available to me to explain some programming strategies in a way that was understandable to me. While I can do the majority of relay programming today, I would not hesitate in contracting protection work to SEL in the future, especially if schedules get tight again."
